The sessions are guided by Gail Wilkinson, a Strength and Conditioning Coach, Yoga Teacher and Level 2 triathlon Coach. Gail has taught Yoga to LFTC members since 2010. Yoga has been an integral part of keeping our athletes moving, and understanding how their bodies work.
This 6 week block will focus on how to keep your hips healthy: a good balance between strength and flexibility. We often think of ‘core’ as the abdominal muscles. We will understand that ‘core’ can be used to describe all the muscles of the body that help to stabilise and generate power. This block aims to aid recovery of those big hitters, the muscles that act on the hips (Quadriceps, Hamstrings and Gluteals).
