First podium finish in the London League for 2015

The boys had their first podium of the year with LFTC junior Hal Crampin taking 3rd place at the Hillingdon Triathletes Junior Duathlon. Nice work Hal! Setting the standard for the boys this year. Congradulations to Joe Dale and Belinda Robbie too. Joe took 1st in his age group and 2nd overall and Belinda took 3rd in her age group in the LFTC Aquathlon. Thank you to all of you who volunteered as well. You did a fine job on a miserable day.

There was also another ITU World Championship Series event this weekend. Auckland, NZ hosted the latest round. Jonny Brownlee led on the run from start to finish to take first place in the elite men’s race. Gwen Jorgenson practically did the same to take first place in the elite women’s race. Next stop, Gold Coast, Australia and then onto Cape Town, South Africa.

This weekend we have at least a group of LFTC athletes racing in the first of the London League races. Thames Turbo Race 1 takes place on Sunday. Have a great race everyone! Remember the weekend after Easter is the Kingfisher Aquathlon. If you have not signed up already then don’t delay!

See you this weekend bright and early, 6:30am for the swim and 7:45am for the run on Saturday and 7:00am Sunday for our second swim session of the weekend. All must be followed by copious amounts of chocolate! Cheers, Tim (LFTC Coach).
