It’s another big weekend for the sport of triathlon. OK, so the racing this weekend may lack the intensity and prestige of the London Fields Triathlon Club Aquathlon but the Ironman World Championships might be worth a look. It is going to be a fantastic race. It is quite possible that in the women’s elite race British women might fill all three podium places! Unfortunately there are no British men considered favourites but there are some great European athletes looking to stop Craig Alexander (Australian) winning three in a row. You can watch the race live on IronmanLIVE.
So this weekend we are going long too! Our regular lane 2 swimmers will be completing a long swim to help build that endurance base heading into winter. Lane 1 regulars will continue to build on front crawl technique with an emphasis on body position and body roll. Remember your fins and pull buoys it will make the session much more beneficial.
I won’t be around this weekend so have a good one. See you next week! Tim (LFTC Coach)
